Alasdair Stroyan

Born in 1947, Alasdair Stroyan studied French and Italian at Nottingham University.  Married with two children, he has taught languages for 25 years and produced varied artworks during that time.  While in Melbourne Australia, his pen and ink scenes of the city where exhibited in various galleries.  Thereafter, he concentrated on pen and ink, and, in watercolour commissions for interested clients.

Now living in Scotland, he is embarking on a series "Sights of Scotland" which incorporated Golf Clubs and famous scenes across the country.  With early retirement Alasdair has decided to concentrate on producing his series and personal commissions.  His work has attracted interest in the United States, and in Spain, and nuyers include Ben Crenshaw and Sandy Lyle.

In the first 6 weeks of producing the Gleneagles print he sold 500 copies, 250 to the hotel itself.

He is also recognised as one of Scotland's foremost mural artists - being number one on the pages of Google.  His main line of work is to paint commissions, watercolours and peoples houses.
