Naomi Rae
Having grown up in an artistic family in the thriving art colony of St Ives, Cornwall, drawing and painting has always been a part of Naomi's life. From her studio in St. Ives she produces abstract, highly textured paintings, originating from close-up photographs taken of her surroundings. Naomi is drawn to her subjects by texture and colour; surfaces that have decayed and weathered, such as the keel of a boat, the rotting tread of a door or the rusting join on a pipe. Exhibiting in galleries across Cornwall and Devon, Naomi also takes on many private commissions further afield.
'To see the beauty and merit in the unremarkable and often unnoticed is a constant source of inspiration'.
