Lucy Bell
A recent move from London to East Anglia has provided a stimulus for a new series of abstract paintings. Lucy studied at the RA Schools and Ruskin School of Art. She travelled to Bulgaria with a British Council Scholarship in 1988. Group exhibitions include various London Galleries as well as solo exhibitions in London in Essex. She has had work purchased by various corporations in London and undertook a commission for several works for a hotel in Chicago. “I use nature as a visual marker and emotional stimulus. I try to find new ways of composing images through ideas of intersecting forms and seeing how colour and change and transform. Natural textures and marks can also allude to textiles.”
