I was born 1965 in Aachen, Germany but have lived in the UK for the last 20 years.
Having originally studied literature at King’s College, London and St Cross College Oxford University, and focusing my creative energies on writing [crime] fiction, I turned towards painting abstract art in the last two years. Most of my work is in acrylic and oil on small and large canvases. I am curious by nature, always ready to further explore new ideas and impressions. My present range of work is largely concerned with seeing behind the surfaces to the pulse of Life within all things, to discover hidden forms and energies and to peel away at them layer for layer. My paintings reflect my passion for a vibrant mix of colour.
This year my work was exhibited in a group exhibition in an Islington Gallery in London.
I work from a studio at home and balance my work as an artist with a post at a London University, having spent most of my career in the Higher Education sector both as a lecturer and manager.
