Parastoo Ganjei
Parastoo Ganjei was born into an artistic family and was introduced to art at a very early age by her grandfather who was a famous artist. She has always loved the power of communications through visual concepts, and likes to talk to her viewer in the universal language of painting. She gained a BA in graphic design and later studied animation. Vivid, vibrant colours, natural forms, dramatic shapes, intricate patterns and various textures are often seen in her works. She is inspired by the beauty of nature and nostalgic influences of everyday objects in our lives. Parastoo has shown her work in numerous exhibitions and galleries both in the UK and the USA. She writes articles for the Leisure Painters Magazine and her work has been reproduced as greeting cards by Medici and Ling publishing and is a member of NAPA (National Acrylics Painters Association) SFP (Society of Floral Painters) and AAA (the Allied Artists of America) Parastoo's work is collected in many private collections, 15 of her paintings are in the private collection of the Royal Highness Princess of Brunei.
