Jane Robbins
Originally trained at The Guildhall School of Music & drama in London, Jane worked for many years as a professional scenic artist and prop maker, before returning to study traditional figurative sculpture at Stafford Art College. Now specialising in the human figure, commissions include public bronzes of Linda McCartney, Fred Dibnah, Percy Thrower as well as corporate commissions of cartoon character Andy Capp, plus a bronze plaque of The Queen Mother.
Jane’s studio is based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and her smaller bronzes can be seen at “Twenty Twenty” Gallery, Much Wenlock, Shropshire. “As a sculptor, I am passionate about not only the human figure and its celebration in 3D form but also the production of lasting, inspirational sculptures that embrace traditional craftsmanship, skills and technique.”
