Born in Canada, now living and painting in Abbotsbury, Dorset, Marie worked in studios in Florence, Italy; Brittany, France, the Middle East, the Himalayas and Great Britain. Her paintings are exhibited internationally and her international patrons cover as wide as Switzerland, Australia, Canada, U.S.A., and Great Britain.
Her work was included in a large, retrospective exhibition covering one hundred years of painting in Canada at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Ontario. In the U.K. she has exhibited with The Royal Society of British Artists, The New England Art Club, The Royal Society of Painters in Water-colour as well as regularly in Bristol and with the Royal West of England Academy and her work was part of a group exhibition organized by Women’s Artworks called ‘Womanmade’ in Bristol. Her work was included in ‘Just Like You”, a study of people’, a group exhibition in Poole Arts Centre.
In 2004, her painting ‘Flying Angel” was short listed in the national art competition ‘Big Art Challenge” sponsored by the Art Council of England and Wales.
‘In my paintings I work from what I call the ‘interior landscape’: I use images and ideas from my dreams to help me represent visually the mountain ranges and coastal plains inside a person’.
