Though presently living in Surrey, Malcolm is rooted in the Scottish Highlands. Painting and selling though Europe and beyond, he has completed countless commissions specializing in landscape, property and possessions painted to scale.
Having also sold prints from fourteen different paintings, he takes considerable pleasure in knowing his work hangs in countries as far afield as Australia and South Africa.
As an artist I am self taught with no art school background, I did not want to follow the path of the establishment. Rightly or wrongly, I chose the path of my vision. The thoughts behind my work are visualised and not tainted by teaching nor influenced by another party. Many are influenced by the natural beauty of my native Scottish landscapes and waterways. My other occupation as a Stonemason keeps me very much in touch with our natural environment and provides me with unlimited inspiration. Stained glass, tiles and stonework often appear in my paintings. Art truly is an individual sport.
